ഈ ചിത്രം വരച്ചത് അക്രിലിക് ചായത്തിലാണ്.

അര്‍ദ്ധ-അമൂര്‍ത്ത രചനാ രീതിയില്‍ വരച്ച ഈ ചിത്രത്തില്‍ ഒറ്റ നോട്ടത്തില്‍ ഒരു മനുഷ്യ രൂപം ഒരു അന്ധാക്രിതിയുടെ മുകളില്‍ വളരെ പ്രയാസത്തോടെ ഇരിക്കുകയോ അതോ അന്ടാക്രിതിക് ജനനം നല്‍കുകയോ എന്ന് തോന്നാം. കറുത്ത പ്രതലത്തില്‍ നീലയും ചാരനിറവും ഇടകലര്‍ത്തി, വളരെ മിതമായി മറ്റു ചില നിറങ്ങളും ഉപയോഗിച്ചു കടലാസ്സില്‍ വരച്ച ചിത്രമാണിത്.

ഒന്നുകൂടെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു നോക്കിയാല്‍ ഈ മനുഷ്യ രൂപം ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ആണെന്ന് തോന്നാം. അസ്ഥികളുടെ കൂമ്പാരം അടുക്കിവെച്ചതു പോലെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തിയ ഘടനയെ സശ്രദ്ധം നിരീക്ഷിച്ചാല്‍ പല വിധ മത വിശ്വാസങ്ങളുടെ ചിന്ന ബിംബങ്ങളും ഇടകലര്‍ത്തിയാണ് ഈ ചിത്രം വരച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

This abstract style of painting with a second look one can relate a figure of a women with a shape of a womb full of signs and symbols of various religion in a semi-abstract style.

 The recent studies on water and it's related issues are alarming...manipulation of rivers and other rare water sources for money made high toxins and other deadly substances are filled in rivers, sea and other water sources !

Plachimada is a village in Palakkad dt, kerala, where the drinking water is polluted with high toxins from coco cola manufacturing company. This is an  areal view of an ancient well with toxic elements.

അടുത്ത കാലത്തായി മാധ്യമങ്ങളില്‍ ക്രിക്കെറ്റ് സ്കോര്‍ പോലെ ഹരം പിടിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വയനാട്ടിലെ കര്‍ഷകരുടെ ആത്മഹത്യ ഒരു വലിയ വാര്‍ത്തയായിരുന്നു . എന്നാല്‍ പിന്നീട് മറ്റു പല വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ക്കും സംഭവിക്കുന്നത് പോലെ അതും അപ്രത്യക്ഷമായി ! കേരളത്തിലെ ഈ മാജിക്കല്‍ റിയലിസം എന്നെ വളരെ ആകര്‍ഷിച്ചു.
അങ്ങിനെയാണ് ഈ ചിത്രം ജനിച്ചത്‌. പഴമയെ പ്രതിനിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു മരത്തെ മനുഷ്യ ശരീരത്തോട് സമാനമായ രൂപത്തില്‍ , മുറിവേറ്റ, കൃത്രിമമായ ഹൃദയവുമായി, ലോലമായ വേരുകളില്‍ പടര്‍ന്ന്‌ പന്തലിച്ചു നില്ക്കുന്നത് പ്രാധമിക നിറങ്ങളാല്‍ വരച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. 


The recent reports or score board of the suicides of farmers in wayanad in the local news papers and other medias lead me paint "Tree of Kerala'.

  Like many other hot news this too vanished into dust. But the suicides went on....

The tree rendered similar to a dead human body, with it's unnatural heart, symbolizing human life, holing to the ground with it's fragile roots, represents our relation to nature.

ഈ ചിത്രം ' വെള്ളം, മരം മറ്റു ചില ചിത്രങ്ങളും ' എന്ന ഏകാംഗ പ്രദര്‍ശനത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഇരുപതോളം ചിത്രങ്ങളില്‍ ഒന്നാണിത്. പരുത്തി തുണിയില്‍ പല തരം ചായങ്ങള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചുവരച്ചതാണ് ഈ ചിത്രം. ഒഴിഞ്ഞ കുപ്പികളിലേക് ചക്രാകാരമായി തിരിഞ്ഞു ഒഴുകി ഇറങ്ങുന്ന നദികള്‍ ആണ് ഇതിലെ പ്രധാന വിഷയം.

The abstract form of rivers, flowing in circular form into the bottle shapes evokes the disappearing of rivers, which are considered to be Holy in India. The Local believes of rituals of offering to the waters in relation to the "remembrance of Ancestors" at the early hours on moon eclipse day is an old habit in Kerala. And the habit of taking a dip in 'Papa naashini' (sin destroyer) too is a similar ritual. But when I see the changed habits of manipulating, polluting and misusing of rivers without respect, care and reverence to the source of all living being's existence.....
